As an Indigenous recovery warrior on a path of healing and growth, my journey led me to Instagram, a platform I was told was an excellent place to share and connect. Initially, my intention was to share photos I've taken, capturing moments of beauty and significance on this path. However, I realized that my photography was more spontaneous than planned and less frequent than I would have liked.Here's a bit more about why I'm here on Instagram:I started this account as a bridge to reach others who are walking a similar path of recovery and to build a community where our stories and experiences could intertwine. While my initial thought was to share through photographs, I've found that Instagram is more than that. It's about connection, sharing our truths, and offering support. It's a place where we can celebrate our steps, no matter how small, towards healing.Through Instagram, I've learned the power of a virtual community—a space where we can share our triumphs and struggles, learning from each other.
