About JDionne & Associates

Jdionne and Associates assist Indigenous persons with our recovery programs and affordable counselling services. We offer our services via telephone, video, and in-person counselling sessions.

Indigenous counselling and support help individuals achieve a more fulfilled and meaningful life.

JDionne &  Associates understand that seeing a therapist can be overwhelming, but taking that vital step can start the healing and recovery Journey. At JDionne & Associates, our approach to "recovery as the foundation of our success" is to help you achieve better self-understanding, self-awareness, insight, and clarity.

Our counsellors can support you through challenges like anger, depression, goal-setting, relationships, and more. We intend to ensure healing is made possible by providing the person served with skills rooted in Indigenous and therapeutic research delivered respectfully and collaboratively. Our goal is to inspire you to find foundational solutions so you can achieve a more balanced, fulfilling life you truly desire, free from substance use.

If you are ready to begin that journey, contact us or book an appointment with a registered clinical Indigenous counsellor. We look forward to hearing from you.

JDionne & Associates offers affordable counselling services and recovery programs for persons of indigenous heritage.

Trauma & Abuse

Trauma and abuse leave imprints in our emotional, and nervous system and is stored in our bodies. Through our recovery process, we will identify the emotional blockages and help the individual to work through them.

Crisis Intervention

All Indigenous people are in a brief transition period, leading to heightened maturity, growth, deterioration, and vulnerability due to stress. Our system helps you through a crisis and suicidal ideation.

Treatment Plan

Once an individual completes 10 assessment sessions we will work with the individual to develop their treatment plan based on goals, therapeutic outcomes and a personal mission statement.

Loss / Grief

Loss usually leads to intense feelings such as grief, shame, guilt, anger and possibly even rage. We will guide the grieving individual through these painful feelings relocating the emotional loss through recovery.

Our Five Drivers Of Empowerment

We have five empowerment drivers:

Recovery- Leads to self-efficacy, which is a sense of personal accomplishment

EducationLeads to self-determination, which is a sense of personal choice

Employment- (Business Skills) leads to an emotional consequence which is a sense of having an impact

Culture - Leads to a meaning which is a sense of having value in cultural activities

Life Skills - Leads to trust, which is a sense of security

Lateral Violence occurs within marginalized groups where members strike out at each other as a result of being oppressed. The oppressed become the oppressors of themselves and each other. Common behaviours that prevent positive change are gossiping, bullying, finger-pointing, backstabbing and shunning.
