And there, in the first light of our endeavour to break free from the chains of substance use, we faced our first gathering—a moment meant to mark the beginning of a new chapter.Yet, as the spirits often remind us, the path of healing is not without its twists and turns. Perhaps the words we sought to share were lost in the silence, our voices stolen by the wind, or maybe our intentions, pure though they were, wandered like rivers straying from their course, caught in the unexpected questions and reflections of those we sought to guide and inspire.Ah, but let us not dwell in the shadows of what might have been. For in every challenge, in every misstep, there is a lesson as rich as the earth, a gift from the ancestors, reminding us that even in moments of seeming failure, the seeds of growth are sown.They say that when the path before you closes, the Great Spirit opens another, sometimes as elusive as the morning mist and at others as vibrant as the rainbow that follows the storm, a promise of renewal and hope.So, we gather ourselves, drawing on the strength of our ancestors and the resilience that runs in our blood, and we return to the circle, to the sacred fire at the heart of our community, ready to begin again. With each attempt, our spirit is forged anew, and our resolve is strengthened.I recall a time when my own steps faltered when the dreams I held so dearly seemed to slip like smoke through my fingers. It was then, in the whisper of the pine and the caress of the river's song, that I found my way back, guided by the gentle hand of patience and my unwavering belief in the journey itself.So, I ask you, warriors of the heart, when the path twists beneath your feet and the doors seem closed to your touch, what do you do?
