Sad but true: You can’t put water in a cup that’s already full.So, if you feel like you’re spreading yourself too thin, don’t try to flatten yourself out to take on more!I’ve been there, trying to tackle the same projects but always rescheduling them, feeling defeated by a growing to-do list and all these projects that take way longer to complete than a day…I had to remind myself at a deep core level that what other people think of me is none of my business. I finally let go of the idea that I had to do everything myself or my work would fail. Asking for help is not giving up control!Now I’m excited when I wake up in the morning because there are just 1-2 things to do. And I don’t write long lists anymore. Woo hoo!When you find talented people who excel at what they do and are self-driven, it’s pure GOLD!Try not to stand in their way or micro-manage them. Instead, make sure they have the details, tools, and training to succeed. Set clear expectations and deadlines.If a VA or team member doesn’t work out, or if they work slower in the beginning than you want, hang in there. Invest your time in people you believe in, and you’ll see the rewards down the road!What’s one thing you had to learn in order to grow?
