The trick is to find out what makes you "STAY" in recovery. We need to honour all traditional healing ways that help people "STAY" in recovery, whether it be the 12-step model, counselling, psychotherapy, psychiatry, treatment, Christianity, etc</li><li>Do I need to work with colonizers? We believe recovery comes from ALL walks of life. Look at the four colours of races on the medicine wheel. There are white people, Red People, Black People, and Yellow People. These are the four races that make up the Medicine Wheel. We can obtain "Active Recovery" Principles from all individuals in the Medicine Wheel.</li><li>Where do I start my recovery journey? By asking this question, you’ve already started. From here, we need to build a supportive recovery tribe around you. We need to truly consult with other individuals who know what true healing is about. You will know because there will be an open exchange of processes, resources, and changes.</li></ol>Unfortunately, no one size fits all.
