Price your services for profit!When it comes to charging people for the products and services we offer, I become uncomfortable. I have done a lot of work for free in the past 27 years, like a lot of work. Ask anyone that I have helped in the past if I charged them for that help. I have even gotten paid for a few jobs, but if there were people helping me, the majority of the pay I received went to them. In fact, from my recollection, I can only remember making money on one major job per year.So, when I started charging for our counselling and recovery courses, I felt uncomfortable. Then I realized that this is the world we live in. We need money in order to continue to provide services. The more money we make, the more services we will be able to provide. Not only will we be able to provide the services, but the quality of the services will also increase.For the most part, we did a Google search to find out the average prices of counselling and online courses. The amounts we arrived at are industry standards. We believe in the Gladue decision, where an Indigenous person’s background needs to be taken into consideration when sentencing. But we also believe this sentiment should be expanded to include all areas of an Indigenous person’s achievements.
