Have you ever had one of those "What the heck was I thinking?" moments, but then you’re glad you did it?I’m a big believer in jumping in with both feet, but even I surprise myself sometimes.Last year, we made a drastic move after 18 years.And you know what? It’s been the best decision I've ever made.On the one hand, this has been one of our greatest moves. I was so busy spinning my wheels helping out people who really did not appreciate it; at least, this is what it feels like looking back. The main reason this worked out so well, apart from doing very well in real estate, is that since I am no longer spinning my wheels in the wrong direction, I have been able to hear God. This is a significant breakthrough. I prayed a lot but never heard the answer until we moved. Now that I have heard God’s answers, it is like when I first got into addiction as a 60’s Scoop Survivor, alcohol became my friend, and I wanted to share my friend with the world. Then I got into "Active Recovery," and that became my new friend, and I wanted everyone to get into recovery, whether they needed it or not. Today I want everyone to meet my new best and most powerful friend, God. There is no ultimate relationship that beats having a relationship with our Creator. You will not want to miss this part of your recovery journey.I think a big part of me has been wanting to be able to communicate with God for a long time, but the other part is scared. Until I did.
